Vacuum Bottle Adjustable Plug
This product consisted in a vacuum sleeve that needed an adjustable plug to accommodate for different lengths of content.
It therefore needed to be water/airtight but also offer a great holding force.
This is the initial concept
The task was:
Define the best concept/functional design for the application
Design and test the prototype for functionality and ergonomics
Validate prototype and update accordingly
Unique solution:
The user friendliness was one of the most critical point for this product; the plug being placed inside the sleeve, accessibility was minimal and operation needed to be as simple as possible.
The lever action allowed that, much better than any screw driven compression solution.
